I can’t believe these two love birds will be tying the knot in a few short weeks! Joe and Kylie grew up in the same area and even had mutual friends, but had never met until a few years ago.
Details on the proposal….from the bride:
Joe had an elaborate plan for the engagement for an upcoming trip we planned while in Charlotte visiting some of my best friends to celebrate one of their birthdays. Unfortunately, Winter Storm Jonas had other plans and the day before our trip all flights were cancelled due to the impending blizzard. I had just returned from a business trip and while bummed out our trip to NC was cancelled, we focused on settling in for the storm and enjoying some downtime together. The first night of the storm we did one of our usual at-home date nights and turned off the TV, turned on some country music, and cooked dinner together. We have talked a ton about getting married and plans for the future but not the logistics of getting a ring. After a couple glasses of wine, I thought I would be bold and ask how he would want to go about picking out a ring…little did I know Joe had a ring in his pocket and was trying to think of a segway into proposing! Well, I just gave him one. He played along like nothing was going on and started asking me a ton of questions about what kind of ring, if I knew any jewelers, etc. Then he made his usual joke saying we were on the 10-year plan. He got up and started being super cute and saying a bunch of cute things and, me putting my foot in my mouth I go “Do you already know when you’re proposing and I’m making a fool of myself?” About five seconds later Joe got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!
