It just felt right to hold off on posting Eric & Emily’s engagement photos until shortly before their wedding day.
These two just have that spark! Emily described Eric as a “stud in white sunglasses” when I asked how they met!
Eric popped the question during a barbecue party at the beach:
Emily said, “…after a weekend at the beach with my sister, a seemingly innocent barbecue with friends turned into the best proposal ever! The stud in white sunglasses had written a card, and had a friend hand it to me…when I looked up he was on one knee. “
These two soul mates will be saying, “I do” at the Ocean Pines Yacht club in a few short weeks!
We all know I’m a wedding photographer! Well at least I thought I was. My last blog post was the baby shower that Gabrielle threw for our best friends. Well you guys must have liked it, because that post brought the most traffic that my site has ever seen. This child is getting very popular! So why stop there? Let’s photograph this child some more!!
Savannah was provided these gorgeous maternity dresses by (Sew Trendy Accessories). They come in many different styles and colors and they perfectly contour a pregnant body! We complimented the dresses with a luscious floral crown. I loved how the Veronicas framed her face! There is nothing more beautiful than an expecting mother, and Savannah is nothing short of gorgeous!
This past Saturday we FINALLY celebrated a day that my best friends have been wanting to celebrate for a long time.
When Dustin and Savannah told us that they were planning to start a family, Gabrielle started planning their baby shower!
Little did we know the struggle that they would endure through this process. Dustin and Savannah underwent fertility treatments for a couple of years. We shared many tears with them. Finally, tears of joy!!! This was their last round of treatment that their insurance would cover, and God blessed them with a baby! Savannah will be approaching 9 months in a few days with a sweet baby BOY, (see my post on their awesome gender reveal).
Gabrielle decided to go with a hot-air balloon theme. She used 5 foot balloons and baskets to create the centerpieces. Babies breath was used to immulate clouds. We actually ended up draining all of the helium from the tanks at a local flower shop. Napkins were folded to create individual hot air balloons. An amazing antique dresser was used for the dessert table. Gabrielle restored it specifically for the nursery, and painted it to match their decor!
The party was hosted on Chincoteague Island, at The Farmers Daughter. A food truck that serves locally grown, and organic foods! The owner: Gail Beard, Dustin and I have know since kindergarten.
Dustin, Savannah, & baby boy Brimer…we love you and we are so excited to be a part of this amazing time in your life!
