I had the pleasure of meeting Allison and Brent while photographing Mary and Matt’s Naval Academy wedding in May. They asked if I would be willing to travel to Atlanta and if I was interested in a rooftop wedding with a beautiful view? My response was a no brainer!
Allison and Brent met at Clemson University through a Young Life Group. Quickly their relationship began to grow, but there was a small problem. Young Life leaders are strongly encouraged not to pursue relationships with team members. Both Allison and Brent tried to suppress their feelings for each other but after Allison graduated and with a celebration milkshake from Cook-Out Brent asked Allison to be his girlfriend.
Two years of a long distance relationship status, Brent took Allison back to get a milkshake and take a walk through the park where they “officially” started their relationship. It was then that Brent asked Allison to marry him!
These two decided to have a huge celebration with a rooftop wedding at Ponce City Market. Ponce city is a recently restored historic Sears Robuck & Company building in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward.
The exposed brick and large pillar column make for a perfect rustic backdrop for these fair ladies and gents. There was not a place in this entire building was hard to photograph.
The reception was one of the best I’ve ever been a part of…
